Lansing Parking Ramp Party, Zombie Walk and Other Halloween Events


LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Lots of Halloween fun is happening in Lansing this weekend.

Lock your doors and close the windows! The 11th Annual Lansing City Center Zombie Walk returns with a special Devil’s Night edition on Saturday, October 30, 2021, and registration begins at 4 p.m. inside the Lansing Center near Exhibit Hall C.

Walkers MUST PURCHASE TICKETS to participate, and all ages of Undead are welcome. Advance prices are just $ 5 each, and your whole horde can enter with a “buy five, get one free”? OK. Your ticket includes entry to How-To Halloween as well as entry into the contest before the start of the Legendary Walk. Children under 3 enter free and a small eTix charge will apply to all online sales. The ticket price drops to $ 10 on the day of the walk and is available for purchase at the box office.

Zombies who donate to the Greater Lansing Food Bank will be entered into a draw for a prize valued at $ 100. The living dead are invited to the main stage to participate in our contest for the best zombie at 5 p.m. (with adult and child categories) for a total prize worth over $ 200. Afterwards, the members of the horde will receive instructions before being unleashed on the unsuspecting citizens. Traffic will stop as we slowly make our way up the Capitol Steps for the most surprisingly gruesome photoshoot Mid-Michigan has ever seen.

Just down the street is the Creative Carnival.

The Creative Carnival returns for the 2021 Halloween season. The Artist’s Umbrella and Downtown Lansing Inc. will present this year’s iteration on Saturday, October 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the South Capitol parking ramp in Downtown Lansing. There will be several “Trunk-or-Treat” stations all along the ramp. Entrance to the event is $ 20.00 per vehicle and you pay when you enter the ramp. Due to height restrictions, no vehicle over 6 feet 6 inches will be allowed to pass through the Creative Carnival.

To order tickets, visit: As participants begin to climb the ramp from the comfort of their vehicle , they’ll start by walking past a variety of performers and visual artists, all dressed in Halloween-themed clothing and costumes.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this unique Halloween event for a second year in a row and to showcase incredible local talent to our community,” said Brandon Navin, Founder and Executive Director of Artist’s Umbrella.

The performers of the Carnival of the Creatives will be stationed throughout the parking ramp of the South Capitol and will include musicians, dancers, poets, circus performers and visual artists. The Artist’s Umbrella, a Lansing-based arts organization that has established itself as Mid-Michigan’s premier variety show will host performers and performers, as well as lighting, sound and production for the event. Downtown Lansing Inc. will assist with sponsorship and paperwork management to help make this event a success.

A generous portion of the proceeds from the event will go directly to reward the artists and creatives who will be part of the show that evening.
