Regional arts group Seed to host free creative arts pop-up event in Highbridge
Regional arts group Seed is hosting a free creative arts pop-up event in Highbridge on Tuesday, October 26 during the October mid-term break.
With activities ranging from circus skills and creative writing to badge making and an open mic session, there’s something for everyone at Create the Future.
The “Create the Future” events will take place in Highbridge, Bridgwater, Cossington and Cheddar from Tuesday October 26 through Friday October 29.
They offer the opportunity to get involved in a multitude of creative activities suitable for all ages. With performances and exhibits throughout the events, there will be a real ‘pop-up mini-festival’ vibe.
Scott O’Hara, Director of Seed, says: “We want to create more activities and have them be what the locals really want to do. Thus, Create the Future will also be an open space where everyone can share their thoughts on creative activities and opportunities in the region.
“Please come talk to us about how we can help you make your community more creative. “
He adds that the information gathered from these events will lead directly to commissioning artists and groups to organize future activities and events through Sedgemoor by Seed.
Create the Future events will take place on Tuesday, October 26 at Highbridge Community Hall from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by Wednesday October 27 at the Victoria Park Community Center in Bridgwater from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday October 28 at Cossington Village Hall from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday October 29 at the Cheddar village hall from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There is no need to book, just show up!
