Norfolk Arts Awards 2021: nominate EDP People’s Choice
After a one-year hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Norfolk Arts Awards are back and the search for nominees for the EDP People’s Choice Award categories has now begun.
The Norfolk Arts Awards are an annual celebration of the county’s creative talent and the ceremony is part of the Hostry Festival events in October.
If there is an arts organization or person who has had a big impact on you over the past couple of years, then this is your chance to celebrate their success.
The 2020 awards ceremony has been postponed, so this year’s awards will cover works and projects from early 2019.
There are three categories in the EDP People’s Choice Awards: Best Person, Best Small Organization or Project, and Best Large Organization or Project.
Previous winners include: Rosie’s Plaques from The Common Lot, Cat Chapman, Artistic Director of Legacy Dance Company, and Lost In Translation Circus.
You can nominate any arts company or individual based in Norfolk, whether it’s a musical performance you particularly enjoyed, an art show you loved, or perhaps a dance workshop in which you participated.
Norfolk Arts Awards co-producers Stash Kirkbride and Peter Barrow said: “Celebrating people and artistic endeavors in Norfolk has never been more important.
“We encourage readers to contribute as many nominations as possible this year.”
The three nominees in each category with the most votes will be invited to attend the Norfolk Arts Awards ceremony at Norwich Cathedral on Saturday 23 October, where the winners will be announced.
You can get involved by naming a company or person using the form below (if you are reading this in the newspaper, please visit the story online in our ‘things to do’ section).
Nominations will remain open until Friday, August 20, when the nominees will be shortlisted, with EDP readers invited to vote on the shortlists.
