June 2021 renovations at Walt Disney World Resort


From time to time, Walt Disney World must temporarily close attractions, entertainment, and resorts for scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and reimagining. Thus, we wanted to provide you with a list of current closures. To date (June 4, 2021), we’ve compiled a list of June 2021 renovations and closures across Walt Disney World Resort. While no one wants their favorite resort or attraction down for renovation, they are necessary for safety and to keep things looking good. Additionally, you will want to visit the “Know before you goFor the most recent information.

The Lion King Festival reopened earlier in May 2021 after the Cast Members were put on leave and the venue closed in order to maintain safe social distancing. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn has also reopened, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is scheduled to open on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

  • The Wave… of American Flavors & The Wave Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will not be available this summer as we are renovating this space in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt disney world Recourse. Reservations will be available until July 15, 2021
