The man with the most stretchy skin in the world can move his neck and eyelids away from his body
A man who holds a Guinness World Record for his stretchy skin can pull it away from his neck, face, and even pull on his eyelids.
Garry Turner, the type with the most stretchy skin in the world, is able to maneuver his skin due to a rare condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
The disorder is a connective tissue disorder affecting the skin, internal organs, and ligaments of the body.
Garry is able to stretch his skin on his stomach 6 inches thanks to his strange talent.
The collagen which strengthens the skin and determines its elasticity becomes defective, which means that its skin is looser as well as the joints having “hypermobility”.
In other severe cases, the disorder can cause fatal collapse or rupture of blood vessels.
When asked if other parts of his skin can stretch, he explained which areas are most effective.
He said: “The places where the skin is abundant are the best – the stomach, neck, arms, etc. The less stretchy areas are the hands and feet.
“Stretching doesn’t hurt at all. However, other aspects of the syndrome are very painful, for example the joints.”
He added: “I always knew my skin was different – when I was a little kid my uncles had fun showing off to their friends.”
When asked if it hurts to move his skin, he replied, “Stretching doesn’t hurt at all. However, other aspects of the syndrome are very painful, for example the joints.”
Garry won the record back in 1999 and has remained at the top for the past 20 years.
Nicknamed “the elastic man”, he is able to stretch the skin of his stomach and chest so far that his nipple seems to pull away from his body.
Although his feet and hands are not elastic because there is not enough skin in these places.
Garry, from the UK, was diagnosed with the disease as a teenager at the age of 13.
Born in 1971, he turned 50 last year and grew up knowing he had unique skin.
As a performing artist, he did not always use his condition for his work or fame and played football.
He resigned from a job in a construction company due to his illness.
He had bleeding and bruising that took a long time to heal, or in some cases, it got worse because of the disorder.
Garry also appeared in the 2014 film, He Took His Skin Off For Me, a modern ‘twisted’ fairy tale about a man who took his skin off for his girlfriend.
He joined the Circus of Horrors team in 2005, a traveling show that welcomed a variety of people with health and talent issues.
Speaking of joining the circus, he said, “I feel like it’s my choice, and that feeling of making a thousand people laugh at the same time is a great feeling. So for that reason alone, I love the scene. don’t want people to feel pain for me in any way. “
Instead, he felt the sting of ridicule when his rare case was diagnosed and doctors from across the UK came to see him.

He said ABC News : “If you … look at your own skin cells under a microscope, they would be nice and round and lock in a lot of places. … But my skin cells tend to be more irregular and don’t fit together very well.”
“The best way to describe it is I’m pretty much built like a poorly woven basket if you can imagine it, which will come apart.”
He went on to explain that while he may appear to have thick skin, she is actually thin as paper.
He also auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2011.
