PRACTICE TIMES

Practice time:

Mondays: 2pm - 5pm

Tuesdays: 3pm - 7pm

Wednesdays: 2pm - 5pm

Thursdays: 3pm - 7pm

Fridays: 2pm - 5pm

Practice sessions are available for the following people:

  • Ex Generating Company students (£5 per session)
  • Evening school students (FREE - see below)
  • Professional circus artists (£5 - per session)

Evening Classes: Free practice time is available to those who have completed one of the 6 week evening classes. Intermediate level students will need to be assessed by us before using the space for health and safety reasons.

Professional Circus Artists: You must have been assessed to show a professional standard of skill. People wishing to apply as a professional should email us to arrange an assessment/interview.

Payment for practice time must be received before your session commences, please see us in the office.
If there is less than 4 people training during the winter season, practice time will reduce to a 1 & ½ hr. session. THIS IS UNLESS PEOPLE ARE PREPARED TO PAY THE EXTRA £8 PER HOUR FOR THE HEATING. WHICH THEY MUST PAY UP FRONT (Otherwise the heating will be switched off).
Next winter we will have better heating and insulation in the building!

Rules of the Space:

  • We require that a min of 2 people to train in the space for your own safety.
  • The space must be left clean and tidy as you found it please.
  • Any blood stains or marks will need to be cleaned thouroughly.
  • We have the right to remove anyone who is disruptive to others using the space.
  • Take care of equipment and report any damage to ensure all equipment is safe to use.
  • Please enquire with a member of staff about any rigging requirements. Please do not attempt this yourself.

These rules are put up on the student notice board in the space.

The Generating Company will at times cancel practice time when the studio is needed for hire or rehearsals or our own training courses, so make sure you phone to check before you come down or regularly check the student notice board. This information will also be available to practice members on our Facebook group.
